Microelectronics is one of the more recent tradeshows to be established, and it’s one that’s bursting with promise. Having launched in September 2025 at ExCel London, the event was so successful that there are already plans to hold it again this autumn in the same venue; but the organisers haven’t stopped there!
They’re expanding to the USA this year with a sister tradeshow that will take place April 22-23, 2026 in Austin, Texas. The focus of this US equivalent is to provide support to the American semiconductor industry (alongside other segments like photonics and embedded systems).
Microelectronics US will bring together the full microelectronics ecosystem to accelerate collaboration across design, manufacturing and innovation both in North America and beyond (alongside the UK show later in the year).
With Microelectronics expanding stateside as an anchor and meeting point for the engineers, investors and researchers that are driving America’s semiconductor resurgence, the US show has already 5,000 attendees planning to visit, alongside 150 exhibitors and more than 130 speakers across four dedicated content stages.
The technology showcased at Microelectronics US will range from advanced manufacturing to chip design, packaging to photonics, embedded integration, and more. The show’s goal is to strengthen technological competitiveness and bring innovators, manufacturers, investors and policymakers together all under the same roof to help shape America’s microelectronics industry and make it more self-sustaining going into the future.
A variety of media partners have already signed up, including EE Times, Embedded Computing Design, Electronics Weekly, and more.
Microelectronics US boasts a meticulous program designed to provide targeted value, whatever an attendee’s individual goals. There are dedicated content stages planned that focus on the three core pillars of the convergent microelectronics ecosystem. These include:
- The Semiconductor Stage, diving deep into advanced manufacturing, materials, integrated circuits and chip design
- The Photonics Stage, exploring optical interconnects, silicon photonics, LiDAR, and light-based technologies
- The Embedded Systems Stage, focusing on IoT platforms, edge AI, microcontrollers, and intelligent connected devices.
This tradeshow provides access to initiatives fueled by the CHIPS and Science Act, a federal US law that was established in 2022 with the goal of boosting America’s domestic semiconductor manufacturing, research, and development. The goal is to better compete with China by providing both financial incentives to build, expand and modernize semiconductor business on American soil.
With this support, Microelectronics US offers an excellent opportunity for investment and serves as a conduit to market expansion. If you have growth mindset and forward vision, the event is a great place to build future commercial success in the United States.
Microelectronics US is free to attend. General Access passes and a Student Access pass to ensure that all visitors can benefit from the event in the way most beneficial to them.
